We will transfer your manuscript into a format for the book size you choose during the AuthorCrossing self-publishing process. You are not required to use one of our interior templates for publishing; however, if you prefer to set up your manuscript in our template files, you can download the correct book size below. Why use an interior template? The template will allow you to have a better idea of what your manuscript will look like formatted in the corresponding book size. If you plan to have complex formatting, it might be useful to transfer your manuscript into the template before submitting your manuscript during our publishing process. Download a Microsoft® Word document by clicking on the correct size below: To use the template file to set up your manuscript, simply transfer your existing manuscript into the template. There are a few tips to keep in mind: - Do not change the page size or margin settings. We have specifically set the page size and margins to fit the book size you have selected. If you change either, the template will no longer be accurate.
- Delete the instructional text in the template before you submit your manuscript. The text explaining where to insert your title and author name are placeholders, and should be replaced with the text you actually want in the book. Additionally, the placeholder for "Start text here" and additional instructions should be deleted.
